Welcome to my blog,

I assume since you've found this page you want to learn a bit more about me.

My name is Caitlin and I've been blogging here since April 2011. I started this blog as a way to show others my crafts and to enjoy sharing and learning. More and more my focus is on sharing what I do and helping others to learn. I love to share my knowledge and pass all the awesome crafts to others. I'm a bit of a nerd and a fitness junky and work as an accountant.

What crafts do I do?

As this blog started as a way to show off my cross stitch, that is my main craft BUT over the course of time I change what I do depending on my moods. Cross Stitch is always a big focus here but you will find crochet, knitting, quilting, sewing, drawing and random paper craft as well. I basically like to do anything that catches my fancy and tomorrow the crafts I do may change entirely.

I have taken to designing cross stitch patterns and you can find the link to my etsy shop. I will draw the pictures up and then edit them digitally before turning them into cross stitch patterns. I have been combining my love of drawing, fitness and cross stitching all in one.

What else do I do?

I am a trained Primary school teacher but I have found that I didn't enjoy being in charge of a class. Therefore a career change was in order and I started working as an accountant/receptionist and studying for my Masters of Business (Professional Accounting) which I have FINALLY FINISHED!. I don't have as much time as I thought I did.... I love it though and I have a lot of work and I do enjoy working with clients and teaching them how to work with the software they have chosen.

I also love to spend my spare time playing trumpet in the Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra. I have always done some sort of music as I started learning piano when I was 4. I enjoy being able to share and learn all about music. It's wonderful to spend time with an amazing group of people share the same passion as me.

We had a bit of a covid surprise and welcomed a baby girl into our family last year. So I don't get as much of a chance to stitch or craft as I would like but I have gotten really good at finding some time somewhere! There are lots of photos of her at the moment so enjoy!
