Very Late IHSW and TUSAL

Well it's been kinda a crazy week. With trying to organise the new house and get to the point that we can move. Which means I organised the floors and the carpets and got the locks changed and all the fun stuff that comes with that. Oh and I emptied the veggie patches of the rocket and mint and spiders. (hope I got all the spiders I don't really need to find any more of them.)

But I did manage some stitching, though not as much as I would hope. During IHSW I did manage to finish a page from Afternoon Tea but you have already seen that.

I have been working a tiny bit on Geisha Girl I really want to get this one done. I'm going to see what I can do tonight during downtown!

Oh and I made a mistake and made a new start (mistake because I don't have time for my current projects) It's a little owl bookmark. We shall see how it turns out.

Oh and last but not least I have worked on Jardin Prive

Here's what it looked like:
Here's what it looks like now:
and happy dance it joins up! I was a little worried that it wouldn't but I shouldn't have been.
Here is a close up of the corner motifs I love the colour so much!

Ohk and TUSAL
I think I am really really really bad about collecting my ORTs because this never seems to grow.

Have Fun

Well I am cleaned out! and TUSAL

not really unfortunately. Most of the Phill's place is clean. I can see corners I haven't seen for ages. Mum and Dad come over yesterday and leant a wonderful helping hand. They were life savers yesterday!

But through all this cleaning I have been stitching. Not much on Afternoon Tea. Actually not at all of afternoon tea because I haven't been set up to stitch on it with the cleaning.

One of the blogs I follow the lovely Beverly at Wee Stitchy has just opened an Etsy shop with cross stitch designs called Love Thy Thread such lovely designs. She asked for guinea pigs to try out her patterns so I offered my services.
I haven't quite finished yet the hair is taking ages! Lots of black but I love stitching this!

I am being slightly crazy though I'm stitching this on 25ct 2x1 I was curious how it would turn out. I am making my life more difficult!

Remember the designs for the baby cube? I bought a magazine called 365 Cross Stitch Designs and the same designer had more stuff in there. Along the same lines as the cube stuff. I had to stitch this little octopus! Isn't he cute?

and I have been stitching on Jardin Prive I have got to the top right corner now :D

Step by step it's getting closer!

I love working with this much purple :D so bright and colourful :D and PURPLE!

Oh and last but not least I haven't forgotten my TUSAL though I almost did!

Have fun :D
I have to do some more cleaning!

TUSAL, stitching and life

So I am a week late with my TUSAL and it's really boring this month. It is just afternoon tea with a couple of bits of purple mixed in. Lots of green and brown and lots of black!

But I have got some stitching updates. I got a package in the mail this past week :D I bought some fabric from Colours of The Outback. A lady who hand dyes her own fabrics over in perth. I bought a fabric called sunburnt country in 32ct opal luguna :D It is stunning!

It arrived in a lovely envelope and I was so excited!

Now I couldn't really get an accurate photo of the colour. The top one is too dark and the bottom one is too washed out but it gives you an idea of what it looks like. So much colour and it all sparkles. I can't wait to start stitching on it but it will have to wait until after I finish Jardin Prive.

Speaking of which I have made some progress... not much because I had to go backwards. The little row of circly things across the top of these two motifs was very easy to do BUT the pattern didn't have them at regular intervals. it had a random 3 space in the middle which I didn't realise was there. So I based the right motif on the border above and you can see my problem? Basically out came the 2nd motif which was finish and I recounted it to be correct. I left the top part as is because I wanted it to be even not uneven. But I know to count the whole motif from now on!

I really haven't done much on this piece.

And Afternoon Tea :D Well I did manage a bit and almost finished another leaf.

Now onto the important part of this post :D
House!
We made an offer on a house today so we shall see how that pans out in the next couple of weeks. I will keep you updated. I am really hoping we can come to some sort of deal!

Work
Well my boss has stuffed it up again. I found out when searching for loan information that I haven't been paid super at all! He hasn't paid me anything since I started working for him when I found that out I talked to mum and she hasn't been paid super and nor has my friend in admin. So that is 3 people who haven't received super from him which makes me worry! Where has it been paid to?

Life
Life is going to change drastically over the next couple of months. If we do get this house we will need to move in but even more importantly we will have to work out how to live together all the time. I currently spend 90% of my time at Phill's anyway but it will be interesting when that house is both of ours.

I try to look at everyone's blogs but it has been going slightly crazy here with the end of term. It should hopefully get better soon! I am a week behind.

TUSAL and I won :D

well here is a photo of my VERY VERY VERY VERY late TUSAL for February.

He's still sitting among the lego but there is a penguin in there too :D There is a bit of the fabric from my biscornus, the threads from boxer and a whole pile of threads from afternoon tea. Not that you can tell much of a difference between the boxer threads and afternoon tea as they are all browns.

Also a couple of weeks ago now I won a surprise giveaway from minnie over at all xx's which was such a lovely package to get in the mail this week!

It's full of all sorts of wonderful charts and I love the magazine it has a JE christmas angel and a peter rabbit design. I'm in heaven :D

TUSAL and stitching :D

Here are my ORTs sitting in front of Phill's lego. He has 4 and a half models now. The half is a half finished one spread over the living room floor.

It's a mess! But he's having so much fun!

It's getting there :D I am so excited! I will spend today stitching and hopefully have a better update later today because today is a Public Holiday - Australia Day to be exact :D

I will explain Australia Day to everyone later. Little bit of stitching to do now.
