My fun week :)

I'm so excited! I got paid for my new job!!!!!! It was twice what I was getting paid for a lot less driving, basically better days! I also have a 7 day contract booked starting tomorrow and a promise of a contract for 1 day a week until the end of the year.

As a gift to myself for working and actually getting paid more than I was I visited Ink Circles. I bought Baroque and 99. I love these charts!

99 - Ink Circles

Baroque - Ink Circles

Once I get these charts I will be adding 99 to my rotation but I will have to hide it from Phill as I want to give it to him as a Christmas gift. Then when I finally get Sampler Aux Fleurs finished, which is getting closer each time I turn around, I will be starting Baroque. I already have the fabric I was just waiting to buy the pattern ... I know weird way to go about it.

Anyway I have been working on Sampler Aux Fleurs because it's really easy to take to school and stitch on while on lunch break or while the kids are doing individual work. I have renewed vigour with this piece because I really want to start baroque but I won't let myself yet. That and I've been enjoying how mindless it can get with no real need to change threads or colours.

Not the best pictures but you get the idea.

So I have finished an alphabet the one along the bottom with the block letters. Very exciting to finish it.

The next focus is here to finish the lace pattern.

I have also worked on Afternoon tea :D very fun!

I have been knitting too but that deserves it's own post. Will have to do that soon.

It's the Mount Gravatt Show today which is great since I am going and then my friend is coming over and we'll watch the opening ceremony while stitching. A perfect day!

  6. Good for you!
I've been in my new job for about 3 weeks now and it's much better than what I was doing before. Not travelling if fantastic. I'm sure you'll have more time to stitch! And those new designs look gorgeous. i particularly like the blue one.

  7. So good to hear about your new job. Less travel is good - I have to drive quite a distance to get to work and some days it is really hard to do. Looks like lots of exciting stitching on the horizon.

  12. Congratulations on the job. Hehe... I've done that before... Fabric before chart so it's not unusual.

    Hugs,
