Framed Finish!

Well I finally got it back from the framer and it is stunning!

We spent ages searching for the right frame. I first thought I wanted a wood frame but they were all too heavy. In the end we found this gold and silver gilt frame.

I love the job they did and they fixed their first mistake without a complaint. So happy with it.

I also received my Fabric of the Month from Colours of the Outback. Because of Hurricane Sandy her order of 32ct Lugana was delayed so instead of waiting she offered me 32ct opal instead without charging me extra. I love this piece. It's called Purple Army.

I also realised I forgot to show you last months fabric.

It's called Great Australian Bite.

I also bought some magazines this week.

I finally found a newsagent that had the Christmas ornament magazine. There are some awesome designs in there.

I know Christmas is only about 6 weeks away but it sure doesn't feel like it yet!

Lest we forget

In memory of those that have fallen to keep our country safe.

so I'm pathetic!

I have bought tickets for Twilight Breaking Dawn: Part 2! I am so excited! My friend and I are going next Friday so not the first day but the second :D We booked deluxe tickets so we get the super comfy seats and seat service meaning they bring our meal into us during the movie. You can also have alcohol in there but I will be driving.

I know how sad it is to admit that I love the twilight movies. I don't go stupid over them because I am the first to admit that the books sucked! But something about them you couldn't put them down. I read all 4 books in about 24hrs. Also Kristen Stewart needs to learn how to smile and Robert Pattinson is not that handsome! So why do I love these movies? Maybe something to do with the stunningly gorgeous Jacob Black :D

I have never been team Jacob though because I want Bella to end up with Edward so I can get Jacob :D

I am really excited to see what the next instalment brings.

p.s. I lost another .9 making it 4kg total now :D which is 8 pounds :D

What I spent my weekend making...

I didn't have as much time to myself this weekend as I thought. Phill went sailing and then I spent the weekend chasing around after stuff and then up at his sailing!

So when all the fun was happening I couldn't actually do my secret stitching so instead I started another crobot. This one is the cosmic bot. He is so cute. All the designs in this book are only small. This one is about 6cm tall.

I put a loop on the top of his head so that it can be hung up as a Christmas ornament :D so it's another ornament off my list :D

Well I have been very very busy this update :D

Afternoon Tea looked like this last update

Then I managed a page finish

Of course this wasn't enough I have added a bit more since then :D

I am loving working on the purple in the chair :D Such pretty colours. I am so excited about this piece at the moment. It is really drawing me to work on it.

I do also have a pile of smalls that I have worked on.

And started a Christmas Cow :D

I have had a chance to work on Winter Fairy :D I love the fabric for this piece and it really doesn't photograph very easily.

Not that much done but it is some work on it so it hasn't been forgotten :D I would like to finish this at some point! It is redder than this photo shows though. The reds in the purple don't seem to want to photograph.

I think that is all I have been working on... except '99 but I can't show you an update for that one as Phill is sitting in the room with me. Another day :D I think I might spend the whole weekend working on it. Phill is going sailing so leaving me to my own devices.
