Ohk maybe a bit pretentious on the title! But I was perusing facebook, as you do, and in one of the groups there was someone making a comment about etsy patterns. A beginner who really didn't know that there was so much more out there outside etsy. THEN the fun began as more and more people commented about not knowing a lot of other designers. Some knew some, but there were so many that weren't known by many.
So this is nowhere near a comprehensive list as I don't know every designer out there and I will ask for people to PLEASE post in the comments and share ones not on this list and I'll come back and add them in when I get a chance.
I have tried to link to the designer's page/blog where possible so it may not be the best place to buy the patterns but it is the best place to find out more and see a comprehensive list of the available patterns I hope! In no particular order and no particular theme (I may come back and edit this but want to get this list out there)
IF YOU HAVE ANY DESIGNERS I HAVEN'T SHARED HERE PLEASE COMMENT AND I WILL ADD!

la-d-da.net is another one. Stitchers Corner in Perth has mail order. Don't be put off by rheir web site. They can get patterns and they have a great range of cross stitch fabric. 99.9% of my stash is from there. lol They have a fb page, too.
ReplyDeletethanks :D they have now been added to the list :D I'm excited to find more designers with this post as well!
DeleteThere are tons of designers that you will need hours and hours of editing ;)
ReplyDeleteSome of which I can come up right now: Madame Chantilly, Lanarte, Vervaco, Charting Creations, Tilton Crafts, Mill Hill, Barbara Ann Designs, Bothy Threads, Brooke's Books, Classic Colourworks, Dinky Dyes, Passione Ricamo, Fab Reilly, Lizzie Kate (although she retired), Long Dog Samplers, Lavender and Lace, Mirabilia, Prairie Schooler, Drawn Thread, The tralala collection
And I could go on for about an hour or more :p
I have about half the ones you mentioned in the list above and I will go through and add the rest when I get a moment! Thank you! Yeah some of the ones are retired which means they aren't on everyone's minds anymore but they are good designs and worth searching for if that is a style that interests you.
DeleteThanks so much for thinking of me and adding my blog, Caitlin....you're the best!
ReplyDeleteThat's alright :D I love your designs and do own quite a few of them!
DeleteWhat a great reference, thanks for taking the time to put it together and share it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I realised how needed it was especially with a group of people coming through facebook who don't even realise there is anything outside etsy.
